This Department program emphasizes participation, sportsmanship, learning new skills and fundamentals of basketball plus, lots of FUN. Teams are co-ed. Weekday practices are scheduled by the coach at neighborhood parks and gyms.
Season: June 12-July 30
Fee: $65 includes t-shirt
**Games are played weekday nights and Saturdays at Lexington Jr. High School and Oxford Academy**
PROOF OF AGE REQUIRED
"C" Division: Children born from 2001 - 2003
"B" Division: Children born from 1999 - 2000
"A" Division: Children born from September 1, 1996-December 31, 1998 and in eighth grade or lower.)
Practices: Teams may practice up to three hours per week. Specific days and times for practices will be determined by individual coaches.
Uniforms: T-shirt will be issued to all players and is included in fee.
Type of Ball: If you are looking for a ball to purchase for your child, the District uses the following balls for its leagues:
"C" League: Women's Size - Any official women's ball will suffice. The circumference is 28.5 inches.
"B" & "A" Leagues: Men's Official Size - Any official size basketball will suffice.

Games are played Saturdays at Lexington Jr. High School and Oxford Academy. Challenger Youth Basketball Volunteer Coaches
The Cypress Recreation and Community Services Department's Challenger Youth Basketball league is looking for VOLUNTEER COACHES. Reliable coaches, who have experience working with youth with disabilities, will emphasize sportsmanship, fundamentals, and team play. All coaches must attend training and be fingerprinted by the City of Cypress.
