Youth Action Committee
For High School Students
Meets the 1st Wednesday of each month

The City appointed Youth Action Committee works in conjunction with the City of La Palma and outside groups for the benefit of the community and its youth. The Youth Action Committee gives high school students an opportunity to speak out for their peers and assist with planning teen events such as Movie Nights, Game Nights, Annual Teen Fashion Scene, Beach Clean-up Day, Battle of the Bands and much more!!!

In order to be on the Youth Committee you must meet the following requirements:

1. Must be a resident of the City of Cypress or La Palma, in high school and not older than eighteen years of age.
2. Must be able to attend committee meetings and activities that require a minimum of two to six hours a month.
3. Are required to volunteer a minimum of 45 volunteer hours for Cypress and La Palma events.
4. Are required to attend one city council meeting and one recreation commission meeting.
5. Are required to assist coordinating the annual Teen Fashion Scene.
6. Must be willing to devote the necessary time and effort to research, coordinate and execute committee projects.
