	For any engineer using our design standards, it is the responsibility of the design engineer to ensure compliance with City Standards when submitting projects for review and approval. In addition, it is the responsibility of the design engineer to obtain and verify the revised Standard Details once updated. Although the City of Cypress provides these details and associated drawings, they must be used under the supervision of a professional engineer accepting the responsibility and liability for their use. The details are intended to assist, but not substitute, for competent work by design professionals. It remains the responsibility of the design consultant to ensure that the details to be used are appropriate for the intended use.
