The City sweeps residential streets weekly based on an established street sweeping schedule. Arterial streets are also swept weekly. Holiday street sweeping schedule: If the holiday falls on a Saturday the preceding Friday shall be observed as a holiday. When a holiday falls on a Sunday, the following Monday shall be observed as a holiday, except for Christmas Eve which will always be the day before the observed Christmas holiday. Residents are encouraged not to irrigate their lawns on the morning of their regularly scheduled street sweeping day. Water in the gutter prevents the street sweepers from effectively removing debris and causes a "snail trail" effect on the streets. If your sprinklers automatically turn on on street sweeping day, please consider changing your irrigation controller's watering schedule to a non street sweeping day. Making these changes will provide for cleaner streets and nicer looking neighborhoods.

1. Special sweeping schedule at Orangewood Ave. (between Holder - Knott): North side - Wednesday; South side - Thursday.
2. Special sweeping schedule at Orange Ave. (between Walker - Valley View): North side - Wednesday; South side - Thursday.
3. Area 25, 26 and 42 alleys are done on Friday.
4. Parking restrictions on sweeping day are: 8:00 A.M. to 12 noon. Area 23 is posted until 1:00 P.M. on Friday.
