Project Area Description
The site is developed with Los Alamitos Race Track and associated uses, 180,000 square feet of industrial office and warehouse buildings, a hotel, two large church campuses, a medical office building, and approximately 200,000 square feet of commercial retail space. Land uses in the Project Area also include vacant land, including the former Cypress Golf Course and public streets.
In an effort fo maximize the long term land use and economic potential of the Project Area, a comprehensive study was undertaken to examine the various factors that could affect the land use character of the area. Based on theresults of the studies and analysis, a conceptual master plan was prepared for the area. The conceptual plan includes vaious possible future land use development scenarios that could incorporate a mix of low and high density residential, commercial, office, industrial and recreational uses.
Future redevelopment activities in the area could be guided by the land use alternative identified in the conceptual master plan.
