What do I do if I find a dead bird?

* Establish how long the bird has been dead. If the bird has been dead longer than 24 hours or you are not sure then double bag the bird and throw it in the trash.

* If the bird has been dead less than 24 hours, call the Orange County Vector Control District at (714) 971-2421 to arrange for a pick-up. They need to speak directly to you to coordinate a pick-up.

* Orange County Vector Control District will make it a priority to pick up all birds although they can never guarantee that a specific bird will be picked up.
